Rnews in Action
The main window shows all feeds in the selected category. New article headlines are shown, with article contents and older articles a click away.
There are several views of feeds: block, wide block, compact list view, and block with manually expanded feeds for reading long articles.
Installation uses a step-by-step web interface, with automatic upgrading, to make things easy.
When adding or editing a feed, the RSS/Atom feed URL is required, other information will be filled in automatically.
Statistics are kept for article click-throughs and expansions. Feeds are scored with your own popularity index, for sorting and management.
User preferences and other operations (feed and category management, export/import, etc) are performed by web interface as well.
The anatomy of a feed is dissected on the features page, showing the interface elements. Most operations use AJAX for smooth, fast response.
